[Remote] Mgr, Account Management Job Details | Aflac, Incorporated
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Aflac, a Fortune 500 company and an industry leader in voluntary insurance products, is seeking a Manager of Account Management. The role involves overseeing the Account Management team, ensuring effective client relationship management, and developing new account management professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assists upper leadership with day-to-day management of the Account Management team with responsibilities including but not limited to account service support and retention
- Responsible for the onboarding, training, and development of new account management professionals, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to develop successful client relationships
- Conducts training for team members who come onboard and provide them with the necessary tools and resources to develop successful client relationships; stay up to date with best-in-class practices for relationship management; provide coaching and follow up training to team as needed
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients, both internal and external, by providing proactive communication and regular reporting that is then distributed through dedicated service roles; Identifies and addresses trends impacting overall account health and consistently promotes opportunities to increase rapport with accounts
- Serves as an account management subject matter expert to internal/external stakeholders by leveraging an advanced understanding and expertise of our products, services & technology; collaborates with internal stakeholders on go to market strategy; manage and collaborate with each operational area to ensure overall organization growth and success
- Works cross functionally with internal partners to quickly resolve any client or broker escalations, whether relating to technology, claims, billing, etc
- Perform other duties as necessary
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Five or more years of professional job-related work experience
- 4+ yrs sr. level/supervisory/managerial experience
- Experience in an Account Management/Account Executive role building and maintaining complex relationships between executive contacts and brokerage firms
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to lead large projects and work effectively in a matrix environment
- Excellent writing skills enabling the ability to write complex RFPs, understand, and amend contract language
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Possesses high level of technical skills as well as product and industry knowledge
