[Remote] Part-Time HR Operations & Payroll Specialist (20 Hours/Week)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Eastport Analytics is seeking an experienced HR Operations & Payroll Specialist to support the day-to-day delivery of HR services across the employee lifecycle. This role serves as a key resource for payroll administration, benefits support, onboarding, offboarding, and HR operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and focused on building efficient processes while delivering exceptional employee service.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support payroll processing, ensuring accurate employee and payroll data
- Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and employee communications
- Ensure accuracy of payroll and benefits-related records and transactions
- Execute day-to-day HR transactions, including hires, terminations, employee changes, and HRIS updates
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across HR systems
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and general HR matters
- Prepare and process HR documentation in a timely and compliant manner
- Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a positive new hire experience
- Manage background check processes and other pre-employment requirements
- Manage offboarding activities, including documentation and system updates
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure seamless employee transitions
- Support HR compliance, reporting, and audit activities
- Maintain organized and accurate HR records
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and operational efficiency
- Follow established HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Skills
- 4+ years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, or shared services
- Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; Paylocity experience is preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information
- Paylocity experience is preferred
