[Remote] Business Development Manager

They are seeking a Business Development Manager responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities in automotive and related industries while expanding relationships with existing customers.
Responsibilities
- Identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities in automotive and related industries
- Expanding relationships with existing customers
- Prospecting and lead generation
- Conducting market and competitive analyses
- Preparing tailored proposals and quotations
- Collaborating closely with engineering, operations, and finance to align customer requirements with AMG’s manufacturing capabilities
- Ensuring accurate costing and delivery commitments
- Managing a sales pipeline and maintaining a disciplined CRM process
- Preparing sales forecasts and reports
- Representing AMG at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
- Supporting strategic pricing, contract negotiations, and long-term account planning
Skills
- Business development and sales skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline management, and closing new business
- Account management skills to build, maintain, and expand long-term relationships with OEM, Tier 2, and Tier 3 customers
- Market research and analytical skills to assess opportunities, understand customer requirements, and evaluate competitors
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners at all levels
- Familiarity with manufacturing or metals fabrication environments; experience in automotive, appliance, compressor, or outdoor power equipment industries is highly beneficial
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and to collaborate with engineering and operations on feasibility and cost estimates
- Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and data-driven reporting for sales forecasting and performance tracking
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a manufacturing setting, manage multiple priorities, and travel as needed to customer locations and industry events
