[Remote] Associate Writer & Editor, Entertainment
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. FanSided is one of the fastest growing networks of fandom-focused sports, entertainment and lifestyle sites on the internet. They are seeking an Associate Writer & Editor to produce and edit high-quality daily content for FanSided Entertainment, covering topics such as streaming platforms, broadcast television, film, and major entertainment franchises.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the daily publishing operation, writing and editing stories
- Write and edit entertainment stories
- Keep your pulse on trends by monitoring social media, competitor websites, and analytics tools
- Surface fresh angles on current stories that captivate and engage a wide audience
- Build stories with our in-house content management system (CMS)
- Understand how to attract and grow digital audiences through SEO best practices and social media
- Collaborate on content strategy and calendar creation for optimized coverage
Skills
- At least 2 years of digital writing experience
- Deep passion for entertainment topics
- Expertise current TV/movies
- Proficient in editing and self-publishing content
- SEO knowledge
- Self-starter mentality
- Creates content that aligns with the overall strategy
- Enthusiasm and willingness to be a team player
- Social media experience is a plus
