[Remote] Principal Platform AI Engineer / Developer - REMOTE

CGS Business Solutions is a leader in IT staffing and consulting, seeking a Principal Platform AI Engineer / Developer to design, build, and scale innovative products in the Military/DoD technology space. The role involves full stack product development, mobile and platform engineering, and integrating AI-assisted workflows in a mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade applications across:
• Frontend
• Backend
• Mobile
• Develop scalable systems using:
• Python
• TypeScript / Node.js
• React or modern frontend frameworks
• Build customer-facing platforms, internal workflow tools, and scalable product systems
• Design and maintain APIs, distributed systems, and product integrations
• Support Android/mobile development initiatives, including APK deployments
• Contribute to broader SDK, API, plugin, or platform engineering efforts
• Build systems for:
• Offline-capable environments
• Edge devices
• Multi-platform deployments
• Support evolving product ecosystems across multiple deployment channels
• Utilize modern AI coding tools such as:
• Claude
• Codex
• Copilot
• Integrate AI-assisted workflows into development practices
• Rapidly adopt emerging technologies to improve execution and scalability
• Build systems with strong security-conscious development practices
• Operate effectively within:
• CMMC
• CUI-sensitive
• Defense-adjacent
• Regulated environments
• Support compliance-driven product development
• Collaborate closely with leadership, engineering, and product teams
• Operate effectively in startup-like, rapidly evolving environments
• Help shape product direction and technical solutions

Skills

• 6–10 years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with: Python
• TypeScript / Node.js
• React or modern frontend technologies
• Strong full stack product development experience
• Mobile development experience: Android
• APK deployment
• Multi-platform applications
• Experience with APIs, SDKs, plugin ecosystems, or broader platform development
• Startup, growth-stage, or pre-PMF product experience
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ownership mindset
• Demonstrated use of AI-assisted coding tools
