[Remote] Engineering Manager (Scala)

They are seeking an Engineering Manager (Scala) to lead globally distributed engineering teams, drive technical excellence, and collaborate with product management to define requirements and manage project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower a globally distributed engineering team across the U.S., Latin America, and Europe, providing the structure, context, and support necessary for their success
• Drive technical excellence and shipping velocity by enforcing best practices for agile processes, architecture reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions
• Bridge the gap between product and execution by collaborating with Product and Program Management to define requirements, track cross-team dependencies, and manage the project lifecycle in an environment without dedicated Scrum Masters

Skills

• 8+ years of engineering experience
• 3+ years managing or leading globally distributed teams
• Expert in SQL and relational databases
• Comfortable navigating Kubernetes-based architectures
• Highly organized and capable of translating complex technical blockers into clear progress reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Based in or able to work core East Coast (ET) hours (10am – 5pm)
