[Remote] Service Desk Project Manager

The role involves leading the implementation of Epic systems, optimizing remote service desks, and collaborating with various teams to enhance healthcare operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Epic Service Desk implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals
- Design, build, and optimize remote service desks to support end-users during GoLive and post-GoLive phases
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, schedules and budgets to ensure successful activations
- Establish and enforce best practices for service desk operations, incident management, and troubleshooting
- Lead change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption across the organization
- Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, including IT teams, clinical staff, and third-party vendors to streamline project activities
- Oversee end-user training, support, and onboarding to enhance adoption of the Epic platform
- Monitor project performance metrics and provide regular updates to leadership on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement and optimize future projects
- Update and maintain the project schedule through proactive engagement with project stakeholders
- Coordinate communications, organize meetings, and ensure effective meeting setups
- Develop and present PowerPoint presentations to guide and drive meetings
- Drive project decisions and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders
- Facilitate collaboration between internal business units and client stakeholders, bridging gaps between subject matter experts
Skills
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent project management experience
- Experience: 5 – 7 years of Epic implementation experience, led over 10+ Epic GoLive Activations
- Proven experience in designing, building, and managing remote service desks with a strong understanding of Epic modules, workflows, and healthcare IT systems
- Experience with Visio, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, IT, Project Management, or a related field. PMP, CPHIMS, or other relevant certifications are a plus
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, a proven ability to lead cross-functional and remote teams
- Experience with service desk tools and platforms, adhering to ITIL best practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, translating complex issues into actionable solutions
- Proven track record in healthcare consulting or working with large healthcare systems
- Proficient in agile project management methodologies
