[Remote] AWS Data Engineer(Technical Lead)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Tredence Inc. is seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer with strong technical leadership skills to design, implement, and optimize modern data platforms. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams in building scalable and high-performance data solutions using AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement end-to-end data architecture leveraging AWS services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Mentor engineers, set coding standards, and guide solution delivery across multiple projects
• Build and optimize ETL pipelines, orchestrate big data workloads, and manage distributed processing frameworks
• Implement Iceberg tables for large-scale analytics, ensuring schema evolution, partitioning, and performance tuning
• Architect and optimize relational databases for transactional and analytical workloads
• Establish standards for data quality, lineage, and security compliance
• Monitor and optimize resource usage to balance performance and cost
• Partner with product managers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

Skills

• Proven experience as a Data Architect or Technical Lead in cloud-native environments
• Strong expertise in AWS Glue, EMR, Aurora, and Apache Iceberg
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data engineering
• Deep understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and distributed systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive technical discussions and decision-making
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Data Analytics certification
• Experience with Lakehouse architectures and data mesh principles
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud data platforms
