[Remote] W2 Only - Databricks Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GAC Solutions is hiring a Databricks Senior Data Engineer to support PBM UDAP initiatives in the healthcare domain. This role will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and curated data products that support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases in a PBM environment.
Responsibilities
- Building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines
- Curated data products that support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases in a PBM environment
- Partnering closely with architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and governed data engineering solutions
Skills
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python
- Strong hands-on expertise in PySpark
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL
- Strong hands-on expertise in Databricks
- Strong hands-on expertise in Delta Lake
- Strong hands-on expertise in Medallion Architecture
- Experience in pipeline development
- Experience in performance tuning
- Experience in workflow orchestration
- Experience in data modeling
- Experience in data governance
- Familiarity with Kafka/event streaming
- Familiarity with system design concepts
- Familiarity with DevOps practices using GitHub Actions or Azure Pipelines
- Experience working with modern orchestration tools such as Prefect
