[Remote] Senior Research Consultant

The role involves building and managing custom research engagements, collaborating with senior stakeholders, and providing insights to address business challenges within the life insurance sector.
Responsibilities
- Build and grow a portfolio of custom research and advisory engagements within the life insurance industry
- Partner with senior stakeholders to uncover business challenges and identify opportunities where research can drive decision-making
- Lead consultative conversations with member organizations and prospective clients
- Develop proposals, scope projects, and position research solutions that address client needs
- Collaborate closely with research, product, and relationship management teams to bring solutions to market
- Manage opportunities from initial discovery through contract execution and project kickoff
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, events, and executive meetings
- Own and contribute toward annual revenue objectives
- Serve as a trusted advisor to insurance industry leaders on market trends, consumer behavior, distribution, workforce, and business strategy topics
Skills
- 7+ years of professional experience in business development, client services, consulting, market research, or a related commercial role
- Direct experience working within the life insurance industry or selling/consulting to life insurance carriers
- Demonstrated ability to develop and close consultative, solution-based engagements
- Experience managing executive-level relationships and presenting to senior stakeholders
- Strong understanding of market research, insights, analytics, consulting services, or data-driven business solutions
- Experience developing proposals, scopes of work, and client presentations
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel approximately 20-25% for conferences, client meetings, and industry events
