[Remote] Mobile Controls Project Manager

They are seeking a highly skilled DDC Mobile Controls Project Manager to oversee and manage DDC controls projects, ensuring successful completion through collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of DDC controls projects, including scope definition, project planning, resource allocation, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as engineers, technicians, contractors, and clients, to gather requirements, assess project needs, and ensure alignment of project goals and objectives
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of DDC controls systems, building automation technologies, and industry best practices. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Work closely with engineering teams to review design documents, ensure compliance with specifications, and offer expertise in DDC controls integration and programming
- Coordinate with procurement teams to source and procure necessary equipment, components, and software. Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and adherence to project requirements
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure that DDC controls systems meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
- Create and maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings
- Oversee the commissioning and testing of DDC controls systems to ensure functionality, efficiency, and performance. Conduct system walkthroughs and provide technical support during system startup and handover phases
- Lead project teams, providing clear direction, setting performance goals, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical skills and professional development
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DDC controls systems. Recommend process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance project delivery and customer satisfaction
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, preferably in the field of DDC controls systems or building automation
- Strong knowledge of DDC controls systems, including programming languages (such as BACnet, LonWorks, or Modbus), protocols, and integration with HVAC, lighting, and other building systems
- Proficient in project management methodologies and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements in the building controls industry
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus
- Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices is desirable
