[Remote] Energy Management System Engineer

Agile Global Solutions, Inc is seeking an experienced Energy Management System Engineer to support critical market applications for the electric grid. The role involves troubleshooting and enhancing Market Management System applications, as well as collaborating with various teams to ensure reliable operations.

Responsibilities

• Support and troubleshoot Market Management System (MMS) applications
• Analyze, test, validate, and implement system enhancements
• Support market application upgrades, failovers, and disaster recovery activities
• Coordinate testing and application setup with market participants
• Perform system analysis and issue resolution in production environments
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, infrastructure, and stakeholder teams
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Strong understanding of power systems, energy markets, and market operations
• Strong EMS (Energy Management System) experience – Mandatory
• Solid Power Systems background
• Experience supporting or working with Market Management Systems (MMS)
• Knowledge of power market operations and grid management
• Experience with system testing, validation, implementation, and production support
• Strong SQL/database skills
• Basic scripting knowledge for troubleshooting and automation
• Ability to analyze, evaluate, and implement system changes
• Security Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED)
• Day-Ahead Market (DAM)
• Reliability Unit Commitment (RUC)
• Congestion Revenue Rights (CRR)
• Energy Trading Systems
• Utility, ISO/RTO, or Power Market Operations environments
• Experience with EMS/MMS vendors such as Hitachi Energy, ABB, GE, or Siemens
• OSIsoft PI Historian
• PL/SQL, Perl, Java, or C++ exposure
