[Remote] Project Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The American Heart Association is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join their Integrated Care Initiatives team. This role is responsible for managing projects from inception to successful completion, ensuring that project goals align with organizational objectives while overseeing scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder coordination.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end projects or programs from concept through customer-ready launch
- Define product and program requirements in partnership with stakeholders; incorporate market trends and business needs into planning
- Develop and maintain project roadmaps, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource planning; proactively adjust schedules to meet goals
- Identify gaps in current products or programs and collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement effective solutions
- Establish and track KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate project success, efficiency, and overall impact
- Communicate regularly with internal teams, clients, and external partners to ensure alignment and successful execution
- Conduct feasibility analyses, gap assessments, and risk evaluations to validate scope, cost, and project viability
- Lead post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement
- Partner with leadership to improve operational processes, minimize launch friction, and support scalable growth
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope and level of the role
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare administration, nonprofit management, or related field
- Three (3) years of experience in program coordination, project management, or healthcare/nonprofit environments
- Ability to translate contract terms into operational workflows, resource requirements, and performance expectations
- Proficiency in database management, knowledge of project management tools, and the ability to learn new software applications as appropriate
- Administrative support experience and participation in interdisciplinary and multi-institutional projects
- PMP certification is a plus
