[Remote] Senior Cloud Security Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hampton North is partnering with a Series C AI-powered intelligence platform used by public and private sector agencies to investigate and disrupt financial crime globally. They are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to drive security maturity across GCP, standardize security through automation, and serve as the internal cloud security SME.
Responsibilities
- Driving security maturity across GCP — IAM, least-privilege enforcement, cloud-native controls
- Leveraging IaC (Terraform) and automation to standardize security across all environments
- Serving as the internal cloud security SME, advising engineering, product, and leadership on risk
- Supporting external audits and ensuring cloud compliance expectations are met
- Identifying and communicating cloud vulnerabilities with business-aligned mitigation options
Skills
- Expert-level GCP knowledge — IAM, firewalls, cloud-native security architecture
- Experience with Terraform and cloud application platforms (e.g. Heroku)
- Background supporting security audits and vulnerability assessments in cloud environments
- Strong communicator — able to translate technical risk to non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable operating with high ownership and autonomy in a fast-moving environment
