Sales Development Representative

Whatnot is the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe, enabling users to buy, sell, and discover a variety of products. The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for growing the seller pipeline and meeting buyer needs through effective outreach and relationship building.


Responsibilities

  • Deeply understanding our end-to-end sales process and collaborate with the team to bring high potential sellers to Whatnot
  • Prospect, identify, and qualify top sellers that are a good fit for Whatnot
  • Identify seller needs and solve for gaps with creative outreach strategy & discovery including, but not limited to: email copy, warm/cold calls, social media outreach, and in-person events
  • Develop relationships with sellers and work with other internal teams to drive growth for the business
  • Grow into Sales Manager roles or other opportunities in the business by working on a fast paced growth team

Skills

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • You have a passion for our mission at Whatnot - you live and breathe the needs of our communities and work relentlessly to improve their experiences on Whatnot
  • You love operating in ambiguity and being a solution oriented self starter
  • You are always curious and a fast learner, meaning you can pick up and deeply understand all parts of our sales process and the various categories on the platform
  • You have strong communication skills- both verbal and written and can hold an engaging conversation
  • You have strong attention to detail and organizational and time management skills
  • You can take in qualitative and quantitative data to make a judgment call on if a seller is a good fit for Whatnot
  • You have resiliency through the sales process and can handle and work through rejection or objections
