Accounting Clerk (Bilingual – English/Spanish) | Legal Billing & Disbursements

Barringer Law Firm is a growing multi-practice law firm seeking a detail-oriented Bilingual Accounting Clerk with an interest in law to support their billing and disbursements function within multiple legal departments. This role offers exposure to various practice areas and a clear path for career growth within both accounting and legal administration.

Responsibilities

• Process client billing, invoices, and expense disbursements in accordance with firm and client guidelines
• Assist with trust account tracking and reconciliation (IOLTA exposure preferred)
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure accurate billing/milestone entry and billing compliance
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Review and audit billing data for accuracy and completeness
• Communicate with clients and vendors in both English and Spanish as needed
• Support month-end close activities and reporting and weekly reconciliations

Skills

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
• 1+ year of accounting, bookkeeping, or billing experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems
• Experience in a law firm or legal environment
• Familiarity with legal software (e.g., MyCase, CloudLex, or similar)
• Knowledge of trust accounting and legal billing practices
• Educational background in accounting, finance, or paralegal studies
• Interest in pursuing a career in legal operations, accounting, or law
