Test System Hardware Design Engineer Asc
Lockheed Martin is seeking an entry-level energetic Hardware Engineer to support the development of a COTS-based test-system platform that emulates tactical equipment. In this role, you will design, assemble, and validate hardware using commercial off-the-shelf modules while collaborating closely with peer engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design, assemble, and validate hardware using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) modules
- Interfacing with a variety of aerospace and defense communications standards such as ARINC 429/664, CAN, RS‑232, and related signal families
- Generate and maintain accurate wiring diagrams, redline updates, and bill‑of‑materials revisions
- Collaborating closely with peer engineers
Skills
- Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Experience designing and building hardware with commercial‑off‑the‑shelf (COTS) modules
- Familiarity with aerospace/defense interface standards such as ARINC 429/664, CAN, RS‑232, MIL‑STD‑1553, etc
- Ability to create and maintain wiring diagrams, redline updates, and bill‑of‑materials revisions
