With a mission to transform complex health information into actionable insights, arenaflex combines cutting‑edge technology, rigorous analytics, and a culture of continuous learning. As a fully remote‑first organization, arenaflex offers flexible work arrangements that let talent thrive from any location while staying connected to a vibrant, collaborative community of professionals.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s fast‑moving health‑care landscape, accurate and timely data entry is the foundation of every strategic initiative—from claims processing to population health management. As an Entry‑Level Remote Data Entry Analyst, you will be the first line of defense in ensuring data quality, supporting analytics teams, and helping arenaflex’s clients achieve operational excellence. This role is perfect for candidates who are detail‑oriented, eager to learn, and motivated to launch a rewarding career in health‑care informatics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Acquisition & Validation: Receive, ingest, and verify data from multiple sources (e‑mail, portals, spreadsheets, and APIs) to ensure completeness and accuracy before it enters the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Report Development Support: Collaborate with senior analysts and developers to design, test, and refine reporting solutions using tools such as Microsoft Access, Excel, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Query Construction: Write and execute basic to intermediate Transact‑SQL queries, assisting in the extraction of data sets required for ad‑hoc analysis and scheduled reporting.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Perform routine data profiling, identify anomalies, and work with stakeholders to resolve inconsistencies, ensuring data integrity across all pipelines.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain clear documentation of data flows, transformation logic, and reporting specifications to support future maintenance and onboarding.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve minor technical issues related to data imports, query performance, and report rendering, escalating complex problems to senior team members as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Interact professionally with internal business partners, providing status updates, gathering requirements, and presenting findings in a concise, business‑focused manner.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest enhancements to existing data entry processes, reporting templates, and automation scripts to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data cleaning functions).
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and experience writing simple SQL queries.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Access—creating forms, tables, and basic queries is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data patterns and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
  • Self‑motivation and the ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high data quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Hands‑on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or similar ETL tools.
  • Exposure to reporting platforms such as SAP BusinessObjects (WEBI) or Crystal Reports.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data structures (e.g., claims, enrollment, provider directories) and industry terminology.
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as VBA, C#, or JavaScript for automating repetitive tasks.
  • Experience with big‑data technologies (Hadoop, Oracle) or cloud‑based data warehouses (Azure, AWS) is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a remote or distributed team environment.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex data sets, identify trends, and propose data‑driven recommendations.
  • Problem Solving: Proactive approach to troubleshooting data inconsistencies and technical glitches.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable partnering with cross‑functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and client services.
  • Time Management: Efficiently prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and deliver results on schedule.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑changing environment, quickly learning new tools and processes.
  • Ethical Responsibility: Handle sensitive health information with confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and data‑privacy standards.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

arenaflex invests heavily in employee development. As a junior analyst, you will have access to:

  • Structured mentorship from senior data scientists and informatics leaders.
  • Online learning platforms (LinkedIn Learning, Coursera) with courses on SQL, data visualization, and health‑care analytics.
  • Internal certification tracks that can lead to roles such as Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Engineer, or Health‑Care Analytics Consultant.
  • Opportunities to work on high‑impact projects that directly influence client outcomes and industry best practices.
  • Regular knowledge‑sharing sessions, hackathons, and community forums to broaden technical expertise.
