About the Client A major Brazilian financial institution specializing in investment banking, wealth management, and corporate lending. The customer develops secure digital banking platforms and financial solutions to serve a diverse global client base. What You’ll Do Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native microservices using Java and Quarkus Build and support event-driven architectures leveraging technologies such as Kafka, SQS, and RabbitMQ Develop and execute unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure application quality Design and optimize solutions using relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL Deploy and manage applications in containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS Leverage AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and ECS Implement observability practices to improve system reliability and performance Design scalable solutions utilizing concepts such as auto-scaling, load balancing, clustering, and disaster recovery Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions What You Bring Strong hands-on experience with Java and Quarkus for developing scalable, cloud-native microservices Experience with unit, integration, and performance testing Familiarity with event-driven architectures using Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL Experience working with containerized environments including Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS Experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and ECS Understanding of observability practices and monitoring strategies Solid understanding of scalability concepts including auto-scaling, load balancing, clustering, and disaster recovery Familiarity with software engineering principles such as SOLID, Clean Code, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to writing maintainable code Experience working in Agile development environments Nice to have Experience with other cloud providers such as Azure or GCP Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Python, Kotlin, or Golang Experience within the financial services industry, including banking, fintech, card companies, or insurance Curiosity and eagerness to learn and contribute to the team's technical evolution English level Intermediate/Upper-Intermediate Work Type: Remote Legal & Hiring Information Exadel is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion across minority, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, and more Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions Please note: this job description is not exhaustive.
