Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically sharp Senior Data Analyst – IT to join our Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty Technology organization. This role is designed for a data-driven leader who is passionate about uncovering insights buried deep within large-scale digital ecosystems. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable diving into the technical minutiae of application performance as they are stepping back to evaluate the broader business picture. If you are someone who loves turning raw signals into strategic recommendations and who thrives at the intersection of business, technology, and data storytelling, this is your opportunity to make a measurable mark at arenaflex.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work hand-in-hand with engineers, platform owners, product managers, UX researchers, and senior leadership to develop and maintain trusted data products. You will interpret data from multiple sources, identify patterns and trends, and translate those findings into actionable intelligence that improves Operational Excellence (OE). Your work will directly influence the digital experience of customers using our web platforms, mobile applications, and loyalty programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the digital performance of applications and systems that impact overall business functionality across web, mobile, and loyalty platforms.
  • Identify the right questions to ask of platform data tied to digital channels, and translate business objectives into measurable data inquiries.
  • Design, build, and maintain streamlined, comprehensive, and reproducible data analysis workflows that scale across multiple teams and product lines.
  • Create and maintain rich, high-impact dashboards and reporting products using modern BI tools (such as Power BI or Tibco Spotfire) to support leadership in making informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Lead areas of focus including data visualization, application performance analytics, error pattern analysis, and identification of the top factors contributing to system errors.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements — recommending enhancements for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Build, query, model, and code data from both SQL and NoSQL environments, including massive data sets and relational databases.
  • Collaborate with US- and India-based Data Center teams to develop consistent, governed, and reusable dashboards.
  • Track new platform updates, application releases, and version cycles; explore current applications and systems to investigate performance, response time, error patterns, service logs, and more.
  • Define new data collection and tagging strategies, and create universal dashboards that surface the most meaningful insights across teams.
  • Communicate findings, updates, and recommendations clearly to leadership, including the preparation of regular presentations and stakeholder updates.
  • Partner with the Digital Operations Community (DOC) to align on operational metrics that move the business forward.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, or another quantitative field (such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics).
  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce platform development, digital analytics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Proven ability to build compelling presentations for teammates and senior leaders, and confidence interacting with all levels of management.
  • Demonstrated success in developing a vision, inspiring teams toward shared goals, and providing the support needed to achieve them.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with BI tools (such as Power BI, Tibco Spotfire, or comparable platforms) to deliver rich, meaningful dashboards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data modeling.
  • Solid experience analyzing e-commerce platforms across web, mobile applications, and loyalty systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling massive data sets and working with relational databases (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Strong ability to study and understand business needs, design metrics that connect business processes with measurable platform outcomes, and define key performance indicators and goal settings.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and build data models.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a track record of using data to resolve complex business and technical challenges.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of an interview is required to meet job qualifications.
  • Strong, reliable attendance is an essential function of the position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, ideally in Computer Science, Aviation Management, or Operations Research.
  • Additional degrees in Computer Science, Information Systems, Aviation Management, Operations Research, or an MBA are highly valued.
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics, Enterprise Data Warehouse certifications, Palantir certifications, or client-side performance metrics tools such as Quantum Metrics.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as DataDog, AppDynamics, or Kibana.
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring systems and large-scale observability frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, and similar enterprise data tools.
  • Prior airline or travel industry experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience with AWS services such as Redshift, QuickSight, and Athena.
  • Experience with BigQuery and large-scale cloud data warehouses.
  • Practical experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) using Agile methodologies.
  • Experience conducting regression analysis on performance forecasts, with expertise in multiple regression techniques.

Skills and Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Thinking: The ability to break down ambiguous problems, identify patterns, and produce clear, defensible conclusions.
  • Data Storytelling: A knack for translating complex datasets into narratives that resonate with technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Collaboration: A natural team player who builds trusted relationships across functions, geographies, and levels of seniority.
  • Curiosity and Continuous Learning: A passion for staying current on emerging tools, techniques, and best practices in data analytics, BI, and cloud platforms.
  • Influence and Communication: Confidence in presenting to senior leadership, defending recommendations, and driving alignment across stakeholders.
  • Detail Orientation: A meticulous approach to data integrity, quality, and governance.
  • Agile Mindset: Comfort working in fast-paced, iterative environments where priorities evolve based on data and business needs.
