  • Define and enforce standards for data warehousing, business intelligence, and taxonomy management across the organization.
  • Partner with Data Engineers to refine data models, improve pipeline performance, and ensure seamless end‑to‑end data flow.
  • Monitor emerging trends in data technologies and recommend enhancements that improve performance, reliability, and cost‑efficiency.
  • Lead technical design reviews for large‑scale data platform upgrades, acting as the primary point of contact for architectural decisions.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the creation and evolution of arenaflex’s data governance policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time for on‑site business engagements, workshops, and stakeholder meetings, both domestically and internationally.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in data/analytics architecture, data engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least one year of experience specifically in domain‑specific architecture design.
  • Proven track record developing cloud‑based solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence financial decisions and drive cost‑optimization initiatives.
  • Two or more years of experience leading or managing cross‑functional teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
  • Hands‑on experience with modern data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Experience implementing data governance frameworks and metadata management tools.
  • Background in health‑care data compliance (HIPAA, HITECH) is a strong plus.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex business problems and translate them into logical data structures.
  • Technical Acumen: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala for data manipulation; familiarity with data modeling tools (ER/Studio, PowerDesigner).
  • Communication: Clear articulation of technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Leadership: Experience guiding teams through architectural change, fostering collaboration, and driving consensus.
  • Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast‑paced, remote environment while maintaining high quality and meeting deadlines.
