[Remote] Water Resources Design Project Engineer

They are hiring a Design Project Engineer to join their Water Team in Houston, Texas, responsible for assisting with technical delivery on projects and managing project phases, including budgeting, planning, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Support various phases of our water/wastewater/stormwater/drainage design projects from communication with clients to deliverable generation
- Perform technical aspects of specified deliverables and/or leads team of technical staff in creating deliverables consistent with scope, schedule and budget
- Manage phases of projects, ensuring completion of work that meets quality assurance requirements
- Perform field work, as needed
- Analyze and interpret information, including field, H&H, and water quality data, to present to clients in a meaningful format
- Meet internal and/or external project deadlines
- Complying with and implementing clearly defined QA/QC measures
- Communicates issues affecting phase/task or project schedule, budget or quality and escalates unresolved issues to project manager, team leader, and/or discipline leader
Skills
- Bachelor degree (BS) in Civil or related engineering program
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D, with optional proficiency in hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software
- Must be willing to perform technical tasks, as assigned, as well as ensure the completion of additional tasks by other team members
- Must be willing to work collaboratively with existing team, including mentoring and cross-training
- Must possess strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Must possess strong organizational skills to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities
- Must be able to interface effectively with clients, team members, and other firm resources
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to make sound decisions/recommendations based on the evaluation and synthesis of project information and data
- Must be physically and mentally capable of performing all essential duties required of the position
- Task management experience is preferred
