Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Run-A-Muck is seeking an experienced Head of Social Media to lead and develop their social media strategy across all platforms. The role involves building and managing a high-performing team, driving brand awareness, engagement, and revenue growth through innovative content and community management.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive multiplatform social media strategies aligned with company goals and brand voice
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and platform algorithm changes to optimize content performance
  • Set KPIs and measurable objectives for all social channels; track, report, and optimize against these metrics
  • Create quarterly and annual content calendars that balance promotional, educational, and entertaining content
  • Develop and create/produce original, engaging content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter/X,and emerging platforms
  • Champion a culture of experimentation with new formats (Reels, Shorts, live streams, interactive content) while maintaining brand consistency
  • Ensure content is optimized for each platform's unique audience, format requirements, and algorithm
  • Collaborate with creative teams on visual storytelling, copywriting, and video production
  • Build and nurture engaged communities across all platforms; respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, on-brand manner
  • Monitor brand sentiment and manage crisis communication with transparency and speed
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with brand advocates, micro-influencers, and key community members
  • Establish workflows, best practices, and tools to maximize team efficiency and consistency
  • Allocate budget and resources effectively across platforms and team initiatives, collaborating with Head of Content and Manager of Audience Growth to allocate paid media resources
  • Use data analytics tools to measure campaign performance, audience demographics, and content effectiveness
  • Present monthly and quarterly reports to leadership with actionable insights and recommendations
  • A/B test content, posting times, formats, and messaging to continuously improve ROI
  • Stay current with platform insights, native analytics, and third-party tools
  • Partner with Marketing, PR, Product, and Creative teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging
  • Support product launches, campaigns, and company initiatives with coordinated social amplification
  • Advise leadership on social media trends, opportunities, and risks

Skills

  • 7+ years of social media marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
  • Demonstrated expertise across multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to create multiplatform social assets with proven performance and track record of engagement and growth
  • Proven track record of building engaged communities and growing follower bases organically and through organic and paid strategies
  • Strong proficiency in content creation, including video production, photography, copywriting, and graphic design (or ability to lead creators in these areas)
  • Deep understanding of platform algorithms, analytics, and paid social advertising
  • AI native with a deep understanding of how to use AI for analytics and marketing
  • Experience managing social media budgets and optimizing spend for maximum ROI
  • Excellent project management skills; ability to juggle multiple initiatives and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort analyzing metrics and translating them into strategic recommendations
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams
  • Background in media, entertainment, tech, or consumer brands
  • Experience with influencer partnerships and brand collaborations
  • Knowledge of emerging platforms and early adoption of new social trends
  • Certifications in Google Analytics, Meta Blueprint, or similar platforms
  • Experience with social listening tools and competitive analysis
  • Portfolio demonstrating successful campaigns across multiple platforms
