[Remote] Director of Business Development

They are seeking a Business Development Manager who can quickly ramp up and build meaningful relationships while generating pipeline and closing deals. The role requires a deep understanding of client needs and the ability to position Intention.ly as a long-term strategic partner.
Responsibilities
- Own top-of-funnel pipeline generation, including outbound prospecting, inbound follow-up, and partnership-driven opportunities
- Identify and engage decision-makers across wealth management, fintech, and adjacent industries
- Lead discovery conversations to uncover business challenges and align them with Intention.ly’s solutions
- Collaborate closely with strategy and delivery teams to shape compelling, customized proposals
- Manage the full sales cycle from first touch to close
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting
- Continuously refine messaging based on market feedback and evolving offerings
Skills
- 5+ years in business development, sales, or growth roles (agency or fintech/financial services experience strongly preferred)
- Deep understanding of the financial services ecosystem, including wealth management, asset management, insurance, fintech, and supporting platforms
- Clear ability to map Intention.ly's services to each vertical and articulate value in a way that resonates with different buyer personas
- Existing network and relationships within the financial services ecosystem (this is a strong advantage)
- Demonstrated ability to ramp quickly and produce results without extensive onboarding
- Proven ability to generate pipeline independently
- Strong consultative selling skills — able to diagnose before prescribing
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- High ownership mindset — you don't just wait for leads, you create them
