[Remote] Senior Data Scientist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cherry Bekaert is partnering with a rapidly growing global data and analytics organization undergoing a major AI transformation initiative. They are seeking a strong Senior Data Scientist to design, build, and deploy cutting-edge AI/ML solutions across a broad range of enterprise and client-facing applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI/ML solutions for large-scale enterprise applications
- Build and deploy production-ready machine learning and Generative AI systems
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders
- Apply advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to ambiguous business challenges
- Develop scalable Python-based AI/ML applications and services
- Evaluate and implement modern AI techniques including LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows
- Contribute to system architecture, experimentation, and model optimization
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical best practices
- Stay current with evolving AI technologies and frameworks
Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing AI/ML solutions in production environments
- Strong Python programming skills with experience across modern AI/ML frameworks (pandas, scikit-learn, LangChain, NLP/Deep Learning frameworks)
- Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and agentic AI systems
- Strong foundation in machine learning, algorithms, system design, and scalable software development
- Excellent analytical problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder partnership skills within cross-functional environments
- Experience building enterprise-scale AI/ML products or platforms
- Background within healthcare, pharma, or life sciences environments
- Exposure to AWS technologies including Bedrock, SageMaker, ECS, and serverless architectures
- Experience with knowledge graphs, advanced NLP, or recommendation systems
- Experience operating within startup and/or enterprise environments
- Advanced STEM degree preferred (Computer Science, AI, Statistics, Engineering, etc.)
