[Remote] Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant

They are seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant to lead pre-sales engagements, facilitate client discovery sessions, and translate insights into proposals while ensuring a seamless handoff to delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead initial client conversations with preparation and a clear point of view on the client’s business challenges
- Own pre-sales opportunities from first interaction through signed proposal and delivery handoff
- Plan and facilitate structured discovery sessions to define outcomes, scope, success criteria, constraints, integrations, and dependencies
- Differentiate MVP requirements from future phases to ensure realistic, executable delivery plans
- Identify and surface risks related to scope, technology, timelines, and stakeholders early in the process
- Translate discovery insights into clear, well-defined scopes and solution approaches
- Partner with Solutions Architects to align on solution design, integrations, and technical considerations
- Develop proposals and SOWs that clearly outline scope, assumptions, exclusions, pricing, and delivery approach
- Align internal stakeholders on scope, estimates, and resourcing prior to proposal delivery
- Own the transition from pre-sales to delivery, providing full context on client dynamics, assumptions, and risks
- Maintain and improve pre-sales templates, discovery frameworks, and SOW standards
- Identify patterns across deals and recommend improvements to estimation, readiness, and delivery alignment
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in pre-sales, solutions consulting, professional services sales, or a similar client-facing role
- Background in custom software, digital solutions, data platforms, or professional services environments
- Proven experience owning opportunities from initial discovery through proposal and close
- Strong experience leading client discovery and translating business needs into executable scope
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, structured proposals and statements of work aligned with delivery expectations
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
- Confidence and presence when leading client and internal conversations
- Strong business judgment with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- High level of accountability, integrity, and adaptability
- Experience working alongside technical or engineering teams in a consulting environment
- Familiarity with project-based delivery models and/or staff augmentation engagements
- Experience identifying and mitigating scope, estimation, or delivery risks during pre-sales
