[Remote] Senior Engineering Manager, Endpoint Security

They are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to oversee development activities, ensure high-quality software solutions, and lead recruitment efforts for their teams.
Responsibilities
- Generates and manages day to day work for team(s)
- Works with Product Team to define and deliver on the 6-month roadmap
- Is also a key contributor to longer term planning and strategy with their director
- Execution of process and accountable for the outcome of the R&D team
- Manage team(s) that will deliver high quality, innovative software solutions, in collaboration with stakeholders such as architects, developers, product managers, CSEs and prod support people
- Support the team by providing direction, clarity and removing obstacles
- Instill Foundations of R&D in their teams by living them on a daily basis
- Execute the Product roadmap
- Ensure teams are highly motivated, performing well, and delivering work on time
- Remove any blockers preventing teams from getting their work done
- Make sure each team is clear on the objectives and goals they are striving to achieve
- Work with team members to deliver the key features
- Work with Architects to define and execute on the company's technical roadmap
- Drives continuous improvement in engineering processes and champions adoption of secure coding standards
- Implement the R&D Department and Team Responsibilities
- Oversee the full software development life cycle
- Ensure their teams is following ISMS regulations
- Develop careers of team members
- Regular One on Ones

- Manage employee compensation and vacation time
- Manage and approve conference and training budgets
- Involved in helping set and manage the Directorate level budget
- Has strong financial management skills
- Lead recruitment efforts for their team(s) for both full-time and co-op employees
- Be a key contributor to planning, hiring and recruitment strategy for their teams
Skills
- 8 years' experience in software development or related role or Master's degree + 5 years' experience in software development management, engineering leadership, or related role
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Background in networking, security, or distributed systems
- Strong ownership mindset—comfortable driving issues independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Multi-platform OS experience (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby)
