[Remote] DMG Data Mining Analyst II

The DMG Data Mining Analyst II will leverage technical expertise to extract insights from complex datasets, lead small projects, and collaborate with departments to align data-driven solutions with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Examine, interpret, and visualize trends in medical data to generate actionable insights that support new business processes and refine existing ones
• Create, Execute, maintain, and monitor SQL queries efficiently to meet business objectives
• Data optimization within big data environments by analyzing query execution plans, indexing large-scale datasets, and implementing data normalization/denormalization strategies to reduce latency and improve overall system efficiency
• Continuously evaluate and enhance data mining and enrichment processes, developing tools and programs to identify new opportunities
• Lead and manage small data projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery
• Work closely with other departments to align data insights with organizational goals

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field
• Minimum of five years' expert experience with Microsoft SQL
• Advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• SQL experience in a Big Data environment
• Ability to proactively develop innovative solutions while balancing multiple tasks
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work in a high-performing, collaborative environment
• Experience with medical and pharmacy claims strongly preferred
• Database administration, database development (non-ETL)
• Data warehousing experience
• Query optimization
• Experience with healthcare data highly desirable
