[Remote] Product Manager, Growth
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GolfForever is a remote company focused on empowering golfers through effective training and pain-relief programs. They are seeking a hands-on Growth Product Manager to own various aspects of the user lifecycle, from onboarding to retention and conversion optimization, working closely with the VP of Product.
Responsibilities
- Activation & onboarding. Get more new users to their "aha" moment. Our data shows users who complete a few workouts in week one retain dramatically better — your job is to move that number
- Lifecycle & retention. Email and push (Klaviyo), lapsed-user re-engagement, churn-save flows. Own the programs end-to-end, not just brief them
- Conversion optimization. Paywall, quiz/onboarding funnel, landing pages, and equipment attachment. Ship tests, measure, iterate
- Referral & word-of-mouth loops. Help build and measure organic growth mechanics from a near-zero baseline
- Instrumentation. Write tracking specs, validate event integrity, and make sure we can trust the numbers before we act on them
Skills
- At least 3 years in product, ideally on growth, lifecycle, or consumer subscription
- Genuinely data-driven. You're fluent in Mixpanel (or a comparable product analytics tool) — building funnels, cohorts, and retention curves yourself, and you instinctively sanity-check event definitions before trusting a chart
- You can write or read SQL well enough to not be blocked
- Strong product thinking and taste. You have opinions about good UX, you sweat the copy and the details, and you can tell the difference between a test that will teach us something and busywork
- Comfortable with AI-native tooling. Familiarity with Claude Code (or similar) to prototype, query data, and move faster than a traditional PM
- You don't need to ship production code, but you should be able to build a rough prototype, read a PR, and understand technical constraints
- Bias to ship. You run small tests fast, you're not precious about your ideas, and you treat a failed experiment as a learning, not a loss
- Self-sufficient. We're small. You'll figure things out without heavy process or hand-holding
- Bonus for Peloton-style hardware + subscription, fitness, or health
Benefits
- Competitive base salary + equity award
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Annual Fitness Reimbursement
- Flexible, remote-first work culture
- Company sponsored 401K with matching
- Free GolfForever subscription and gear
