[Remote] Project Manager MEP (Mission Critical)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Blue Signal Search is a leading national general contractor expanding its footprint in mission-critical infrastructure. They are seeking a Project Manager MEP (Mission Critical) to lead high-impact data center and critical facility builds across the United States, overseeing projects from planning to execution and ensuring alignment among various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution for large-scale data center and mission-critical MEP construction projects
- Oversee projects from start to finish, encompassing tasks like bid estimation, budget management, scheduling, permit acquisition, material procurement, subcontractor liaison, and project wrap-up
- Develop and implement the Project Management Plan (PMP), including risk mitigation, quality, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with and manage relationships between various stakeholders, such as architects, engineers, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory officials, to ensure project alignment and success
- Ensure projects stay on track financially and timewise by tracking key performance metrics, optimizing value through strategic decision-making, and swiftly addressing any issues that arise
- Lead quality and safety initiatives on construction sites in tandem with superintendents, prioritizing a safe and high-performance work environment
- Manage contract changes and modifications, ensuring prompt processing and payment of change orders
- Lead project team meetings, ensure documentation accuracy, and maintain strong client relationships throughout project execution
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of project management experience on large-scale data center or mission-critical projects
- Proven expertise in managing commercial construction projects, coordinating MEP systems, and delivering complex infrastructure initiatives
- Familiarity with project controls, construction scheduling software, and cost management tools
- Proven ability to lead, negotiate, and deliver results in dynamic environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including client-facing presentations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents
- Effective in dynamic settings with diverse priorities
- PMP certification, LEED accreditation, or other industry credentials a plus
