[Remote] DevOps Engineer (Azure & Networking)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Blankfactor is looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Azure and networking. This role will be responsible for supporting cloud environments, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring infrastructure reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure in Azure
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support application delivery and deployment automation
• Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or similar
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability across cloud and infrastructure environments
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment processes, release cycles, and operational efficiency
• Support containerized workloads and orchestration platforms where applicable (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Implement and maintain security best practices across cloud, network, and DevOps processes
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and networking issues in production and non-production environments
• Support networking configurations and integrations across cloud and enterprise environments
• Document architecture, automation workflows, and operational procedures

Skills

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, preferably with Terraform
• Experience with Azure networking
• Virtual Networks (VNets)
• Subnets
• NSGs
• Load Balancers
• VPNs
• DNS
• Familiarity with Akamai services and solutions
• Familiarity with Fortinet products, especially firewalls and network security appliances
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
• TCP/IP
• Routing and switching
• Firewalls
• VPNs
• Network security concepts
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering environments
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Experience with Docker
• Exposure to Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar automation tools
• Experience in enterprise networking, cloud security, or hybrid infrastructure
• Knowledge of CDN, edge security, or traffic optimization solutions
• Certifications such as Microsoft Azure certifications
• Terraform Associate
• CCNA / CCNP
• Fortinet NSE (nice to have)
