[Remote] Healthcare Data Architect

American Unit, Inc is a company focused on healthcare solutions, and they are seeking a Healthcare Data Architect to lead the strategy and architecture of enterprise healthcare data platforms. The role involves modernizing data platforms, overseeing data pipelines, and providing technical leadership across various healthcare data domains.

Responsibilities

• Leads strategy, architecture, modernization, and delivery of enterprise healthcare data platforms supporting analytics, reporting, interoperability, and decision-making
• Lead healthcare data platform architecture and delivery across cloud and hybrid environments
• Modernize legacy Big Data platforms to AWS and Databricks Lakehouse solutions
• Build scalable frameworks for ingestion, curation, quality, reconciliation, governance, and monitoring
• Oversee high-performance data pipelines for analytics, clinical reporting, and enterprise use
• Partner with stakeholders to prioritize platform capabilities and roadmap investments
• Provide technical leadership across claims, clinical, pharmacy, and interoperability data domains
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, reliability, and operational standards
• Mentor teams, establish best practices, and promote reusable design patterns
• Support Terradata platform strategy, integration, and enablement as needed

Skills

• 12+ years in data engineering, platform architecture, or enterprise data delivery, including healthcare leadership
• Strong experience with AWS, Databricks, Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg, Big Data platforms and modern pipeline design
• Proven success leading large-scale migrations, modernization, and enterprise data initiatives
• Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, and EDI
• Strong communication and stakeholder leadership skills
• Terradata platform experience and knowledge of healthcare data standards
