[Remote] Strategic Account Executive (Engineering Software, Aerospace and Defense)

Confidential Jobs is a growth-stage technology company serving engineering and technical markets, and they are seeking a Strategic Account Executive to manage major Aerospace and Defense customers. The role involves expanding revenue, winning new clients, and building relationships with key stakeholders in the sector.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
- Own account strategy for a defined set of A&D customers, including territory plans, executive maps, and growth roadmaps
- Generate qualified pipeline through a mix of self-sourced outreach, inbound leads, and partner referrals
- Keep forecasts, opportunity stages, and CRM hygiene current and reliable for leadership reviews
- Lead cross-functional pursuit teams (sales engineering, product, services, legal) through complex evaluations and procurement
- Stay current on the product roadmap and translate capabilities into outcomes that matter to engineering and program leaders
- Negotiate and close multi-year agreements, working with finance and legal on pricing, terms, and risk
- Represent the customer internally, surface feedback that shapes product priorities and go-to-market
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience considered
- Seven or more years of enterprise B2B sales experience with a consistent record of quota attainment on six- and seven-figure deals
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to present credibly to both technical and executive audiences
- Disciplined operator: clean pipeline, accurate forecasts, and the ability to run several active pursuits in parallel
- Pragmatic negotiator with sound commercial judgment from qualification through close
- Direct experience selling into Aerospace and Defense customers is preferred, including working knowledge of program cycles, FAR/DFARS-aware procurement, and the buying centers typical to primes and suppliers
