[Remote] business development manager ---3D printing materials
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. eSUN 3D Printing is one of the world's largest manufacturers of 3D printing filament and resins, with a focus on building North American distribution. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new customer acquisition across various channels, managing the full sales cycle and representing the company at industry trade shows.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new retail and distribution channel partners (specialty retailers, regional distributors, big-box channel partners)
- Prospect and close B2B accounts in industrial, education, dental, and maker/hobbyist verticals
- Manage the full sales cycle: outreach → qualification → product sampling → negotiation → close → account management
- Represent eSUN at industry trade shows (RAPID+TCT, Formnext, regional events)
- Provide market intelligence: customer feedback, competitor pricing, channel dynamics
- Collaborate with HQ supply chain on forecasting, lead times, and custom product needs
- Build a pipeline and report on it — you'll be expected to own your numbers
Skills
- 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience
- Demonstrated track record of opening new accounts — not just managing existing ones
- Experience in 3D printing, additive manufacturing, industrial materials, or adjacent hardware/consumables industries
- Existing relationships with buyers, procurement contacts, or channel partners in the 3D printing space
- Ability to work independently in a startup-stage environment with minimal hand-holding
- U.S.-based, eligible to work in the United States
- Experience selling into retail chains, distributors, or OEM/private label customers
- Familiarity with FDM/FFF materials (PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, specialty filaments)
- Experience with education, dental, or industrial additive manufacturing buyers
- Prior experience at companies such as MatterHackers, Printed Solid, Polymaker, Formlabs, Stratasys, or similar
