Capgemini is a global business and technology transformation partner, helping organizations to accelerate their dual transition to a digital and sustainable world. They are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure across AWS, working closely with security, platform, and DevOps teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Chef cookbooks, recipes, and policies to enforce Linux OS baseline configurations and compliance
- Automate onboarding of Linux systems into Chef, including bootstrapping, configuration, and compliance validation
- Own the monthly golden image lifecycle (patching, hardening, validation, versioning, and deprecation)
- Build and manage AWS AMIs and Azure Managed Images / Shared Image Gallery (SIG) across accounts and regions
- Ensure images include required monitoring, security, EDR, and vulnerability scanning agents
- Design and maintain reusable Terraform modules for AWS infrastructure with secure defaults and standards
- Integrate image engineering and IaC workflows into CI/CD pipelines, with testing, validation, and quality controls
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 5–8+ years of hands on experience in Linux systems engineering and OS hardening
- Proven experience in infrastructure automation and configuration management
- Strong experience with cloud platforms: AWS and Azure
- Hands on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation
- Solid working knowledge of Linux OS internals, security baselines, and compliance
- Proficiency with Chef and Terraform; AWS certification is a plus
