[Remote] Junior Data Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Nova Infotek is a company seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support their data analysis efforts. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data to assist in data-driven decision-making and collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and validate data from various banking systems and databases
• Analyze financial, operational, and customer-related data to identify trends and insights
• Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders
• Assist in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics
• Support data-driven decision-making by providing accurate and timely analysis
• Collaborate with business, operations, risk, and compliance teams to understand reporting requirements
• Identify data quality issues and assist in implementing corrective actions
• Maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting processes
• Assist in ad hoc analysis and special projects as required

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
• Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and statistical techniques
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization
• Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and querying
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Basic understanding of banking operations, financial products, and industry terminology
