[Remote] Project Manager 5
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NuScale Power is a company focused on advancing Small Modular Reactor technology. They are seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage internal and external projects related to this technology, ensuring that project delivery meets customer requirements while adhering to safety, quality, and budget objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall planning and execution of Supply Chain customer project activities
- Maintain focus on timely delivery of manufactured components that is of appropriate quality and within permitted budgets
- Proactively identify and achieve resolution of manufacturing and supply chain related project issues and anticipated challenges, including escalation of problems within the Product Delivery organization when necessary
- Coordinate with Manufacturing Managers and cost estimators to establish/maintain customer or region-specific product manufacturing cost estimates that includes total cost of delivery
- Present product manufacturing and procurement/delivery status at periodic project review meetings, including earned value metrics, variance analysis, and other project-specific information
- Develop, maintain, and control Supply Chain Large Scale Deployment project-specific policies and procedures
- Ensure assigned projects comply with established policies and procedures including confirming procurement, statements of work, supplier project execution plans, and other appropriate documentation are prepared and maintained
- Facilitate change documentation as necessary
- Maintain and support project-specific manufacturing and project risk assessments and risk mitigation activities
- Coordinate pre-project Supply Chain activities in support of business development initiatives with the Supply Chain organization including transportation, inspections and storage as required
- Manage Supply Chain Project resources in a matrix environment as it relates to the planning, execution, controlling, monitoring, reporting, and closing of product manufacturing projects
- Understanding of construction practices for construction, and experience managing project s in engineering and construction execution phase
- Ability to provide and coordinate oversight of NuScale contractors performing defined scope on behalf of NuScale
- Ability to interface within management level of engineering and construction companies providing support to NuScale
- Strong aptitude for negotiation and management of contracts, and contract changes in a timely manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Project Management, Business or a related discipline
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in manufacturing, supply chain, project management, or related field dealing with a high degree of complexity and multiple interfaces
- Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810
- Strong aptitude for negotiation and management of contracts, and contract changes in a timely manner
- Understanding of construction practices for construction, and experience managing projects in engineering and construction execution phase

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: (1) manufacturing of nuclear components, (2) new nuclear project development, or (3) supply chain contract management
