[Remote] Project Accountant

Broadband Hospitality is a leading hospitality interactive application development and technology services provider, and they are seeking a Project Accountant. The role involves conducting project billing and requires a strong background in accounting, particularly within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of project milestone billing, including compliance with billing and collections best practices and procedures
• Creates job cost estimates based on contracts, build of materials, and change orders
• Maintains the accuracy of the information contained within the job costing system
• Reconciliation of project accounts receivable aging on a weekly and monthly basis
• Assist with processing, application, and maintenance of client payments related to projects
• Communicate with clients regarding project billing questions
• Provides records of billing, payments, and billing adjustments
• Preparing and reviewing various monthly reports for analyzing project data
• Research various accounting issues
• Assist Accounting management with special projects
• Work with the Project Management team for final project billing

Skills

• Strong background in accounting
• Minimum of 2 years of working experience
• Familiarity with the Hospitality Industry
• Knows commonly used accounting principles
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proven flexibility, initiative, and self-reliance
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and systems
• 0-2 years of cumulative experience, including general accounting, account reconciliation, journal entries, fixed assets, billing, payables, and report generation
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
• Job cost experience
• Contract billing experience
