[Remote] US Sales Director- West Coast

Lightwave Logic, Inc. is a publicly traded materials development company focused on commercializing proprietary organic nonlinear polymers for electro-optic devices. They are seeking an experienced Sales Director to drive business development and account management across key customers on the West Coast, requiring deep industry relationships and a proven ability to grow business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with US-based transceiver manufacturers, hyperscalers, and key ecosystem partners located on the West Coast
- Drive business development efforts to identify, pursue, and close new opportunities
- Maintain and grow existing accounts, with a focus on long-term partnerships and revenue expansion
- Understand customer requirements, roadmaps, and procurement processes to position solutions effectively
- Track and manage sales opportunities, forecasts, and competitive dynamics within key accounts
- Coordinate closely with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to align customer needs with technical solutions
- Lead customer engagements, including technical discussions, commercial negotiations, and program follow-through
- Provide regular updates on account status, pipeline, and market insights
- Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Provide administrative and coordination support as needed to support sales initiatives and executive priorities
Skills
- 10+ years of sales/account management experience in optical communications, photonics, or related high-tech industry
- Established relationships with US transceiver manufacturers and hyperscale customers
- Proven track record of winning and growing business within key accounts
- Strong understanding of the optical communications ecosystem and market dynamics
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to operate independently
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and reliability; known for following through on commitments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders
