[Remote] Quality Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Univedge Consulting LLC is looking for a Quality Engineer with a focus on QA and Test Automation. The role requires hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end automation, as well as proficiency in programming languages and cloud technologies.

• Looking for an automation engineer who has hands on experience in Front and Backend automation
• Someone with strong experience in atleast one of the programming languages like Python/Golang
• Candidate who is proficient/familiar with SQL/Postgre SQL
• Candidate must have experience in AWS or any of the cloud technologies

• Required minimum 5 years of experience
• 5+ years of experience in QA engineering or test automation with a strong emphasis on writing production-quality test code (not primarily manual testing or test management)
• Proficiency in Python for test automation — able to build test frameworks, write custom validators, and extend existing test infrastructure
• Proficiency in SQL for writing and validating data queries, building test assertions against pipeline output, and verifying data quality across medallion-architecture layers
• Hands-on experience building automated test suites for data pipelines, event-driven systems, or API integrations — including writing tests that validate schema conformance, data quality, and end-to-end data flow
• Strong experience with contract testing frameworks (Pact, schema validation tools, or equivalent) — able to implement and maintain contract tests across multiple application repositories
• Hands-on CI/CD pipeline experience — able to configure test stages, integrate test runners (pytest, etc.), and build automated quality gates in build/deploy pipelines
• Ability to debug failures across distributed systems: trace event emission through ingestion pipelines to identify where and why validation failures occur
