[Remote] Tax Analyst - $500M+ Publicly Traded SaaS Company - 100% Remote

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PCG Talent Network is representing a rapidly growing publicly traded SaaS company seeking a Tax Analyst for a 100% remote, 45-day contract engagement. The Tax Analyst will support both indirect and direct tax activities, including compliance, notice management, reconciliations, and audit support, playing a key role in enhancing tax operations within the team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly U.S. sales and use tax filings through Avalara, including data review, reconciliations, exception resolution, and filing support
• Manage a high volume of tax notices, ensuring timely review, routing, follow-up, and resolution
• Monitor tax-related communications and determine appropriate escalation paths when needed
• Prepare and reconcile indirect and direct tax accounts in collaboration with the accounting team
• Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provision activities and related SOX compliance controls
• Support indirect tax audits, taxability reviews, and nexus research as required
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, and external consultants on tax compliance and reporting matters
• Contribute to international indirect tax compliance initiatives
• Assist with tax payments, general ledger coding, and other administrative tax support activities
• Support special projects, process enhancements, and automation initiatives
• Coordinate meetings, communications, and departmental activities as needed
• Maintains organization and accuracy while managing a high volume of tax notices and compliance activities

Skills

• 2–5+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or related field
• Indirect tax experience (sales & use tax preferred)
• Strong accounting fundamentals (reconciliations, reporting)
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
• Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Works independently, takes initiative, and keeps stakeholders informed
• Experience with Avalara required
• Exposure to NetSuite, Workiva, Vertex, or similar systems preferred
• Public company and SOX experience a plus
• Interest in process improvement, automation, and AI tools is a plus
