[Remote] Remote Inside Sales Engineer

Crawford Thomas Recruiting is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to join a global manufacturer of scientific equipment used in material analysis. In this role, you will manage a dedicated R&D territory, focusing on sales growth within education and research markets while serving as the primary technical resource for customers.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow an R&D sales territory
- Identify, qualify, and close new business for equipment and consumables
- Independently manage the full sales cycle
- Serve as the primary technical resource for customers
- Recommend tailored solutions for material analysis and sample preparation
- Coordinate virtual demos with the applications lab
- Explain Product Benefits And Technical Capabilities
- Travel with Field Sales Representatives (up to 20%)
- Maintain accurate forecasts and records in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Build long-term relationships with engineering and purchasing teams
- Handle inbound sales calls (minimum 1.5 hours daily)
- Guide customers to the best solutions for their applications
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar) preferred
- 2+ years in technical sales, applications engineering, or customer-facing technical roles
- Ability to clearly explain complex technical products and value
- Strong organization and self-management skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Must reside in Seattle or Portland
- Strong interest in advancing to a Field Sales Engineer role
