[Remote] Regional Sales Director
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention. As an IMS Regional Sales Director, you will lead the regional sales team in the California Region to achieve profitability and growth targets, while managing sales activities and developing effective strategies to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Increase regional sales revenue and profitability through the direct supervision and management of assigned representatives
- Work closely with individual Account Managers and Customers, analyzing Customer needs, and identifying customized solutions
- Utilize advanced sales and Customer interaction skills to create and deliver presentations customized to individual Customers of varying levels
- Coach and train direct reports on how to effectively understand Customer needs, selling Value Drivers, and resolving Customer needs to obtain business results
- Work with Account Manager on developing effective opportunity plans
- Manage sales activity and productivity reports for assigned representatives
- Assist Vice President of Sales with planning and presentation of regional, divisional and national business meetings
- Assist Area Vice President of Sales with preparation of regional business plan and assignment of regional sales quotas
- Accountable for unbilled and uncollected revenue within the region
- Responsible for hiring and training of new regional team members
Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 8 years of successful medical sales experience including a proven track record of achieving sales goals
- Ability to travel overnight up to 50%
- Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements
- Industry certifications such as IAHCSMM, AORN, CCSVP, SGNA preferred (or able to obtain in first year of employment)
- 3 years of sales management experience
- Medical industry or service sales experience
