[Remote] Senior Financial Analyst (Data)

They are seeking a data-driven Senior Financial Analyst who will manage the month-end close process and partner with cross-functional teams to enhance financial reporting and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis to ensure timely, accurate financial statements
• Design, build, and maintain advanced Excel models, dashboards, and automated reporting to support FP&A and operational stakeholders
• Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources using SQL (or other query tools) and Excel data-query features to produce actionable insights
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial controls, streamline processes, and implement automation initiatives
• Support audit preparation and respond to external/internal audit requests

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years professional accounting experience, with demonstrated ownership of month-end close and financial reporting
• Expert-level Excel skills: advanced formulas (INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP), pivot tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA/macros, and dashboarding
• Strong data-query ability: SQL experience required (writing complex joins, window functions, subqueries) or equivalent ETL/query tools
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), reconciliations, and internal controls
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to communicate findings to non-finance stakeholders
• Experience with NetSuite and modern analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• Prior experience implementing process automation or reporting migrations
• Experience working within or supporting SaaS / subscription revenue accounting
• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
