[Remote] National Director, Direct Sales - Managed Services (Remote US)

The National Director, Direct Sales is responsible for establishing and executing national sales strategies, leading a geographically dispersed sales organization, and achieving revenue objectives while optimizing sales performance.


Responsibilities

  • Recruits and builds a team of direct sales professionals across all regions and territories covering all of the United States
  • Independently develops and directs national sales strategies and operational priorities to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and long-term business objectives
  • Leads and manages a team of Business Consultants (Direct Sales) and Sales Development Representatives, providing guidance, training, and mentorship
  • Leads the regional direct sales and sales development organization, to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue growth targets by establishing sales goals and holding the team accountable to meeting and exceeding targets
  • Acts as a mentor and lead to other sales leaders
  • Drives the sales process from plan to close, ensuring effective execution of sales strategies
  • Establishes and optimizes enterprise sales processes, operational frameworks, and execution strategies by applying advanced business judgment to improve scalability, efficiency, and organizational performance
  • Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting customer relationships, partnering with key stakeholders to understand customer needs and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Analyzes sales data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Oversees the tracking and measurement of all Sales Development initiatives
  • Provides accurate sales forecasts and reporting
  • Prepares and presents regular sales reports and performance metrics to senior management
  • Collaborates with marketing, product management, and other departments to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives
  • Stays current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to identify opportunities and challenges
  • Manages sales budget and allocating resources effectively
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Travel up to 50% required to support executive leadership meetings, customer engagement, sales leadership activities, team development, and strategic business initiatives, including air travel and overnight stays

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or relevant field from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in new logo acquisition direct sales and sales leadership
  • Demonstrated success leading high-performing sales organizations with responsibility for strategic decision-making, operational leadership, and revenue performance in a direct sales environment
  • Proven ability to independently develop and execute complex sales strategies that influence organizational performance, revenue growth, and market expansion initiatives
  • Executive-level leadership capabilities with demonstrated experience directing, mentoring, and developing leaders and sales organizations in dynamic, performance-driven environments
  • Prior Managed Services Sales and Sales Leadership
  • Proficiency with Salesforce
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced strategic leadership and analytical capabilities with demonstrated ability to interpret business trends, evaluate organizational performance, and make high-impact operational decisions
  • Customer-focused with a strong understanding of customer needs and market dynamics
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR)
  • Master's degree or MBA from an accredited college or university highly preferred
