Senior Financial Analyst - Remote Investment Operations
Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join their fully remote Investment Operations team. This pivotal role will involve in-depth financial analysis, performance reporting, and strategic planning for a diverse portfolio of investment products. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a comprehensive understanding of financial markets, and the ability to manage complex financial data from a remote setting. You will be essential in providing critical insights to support investment decision-making and drive financial strategy.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting for investment portfolios. Prepare detailed financial reports, performance summaries, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. Develop and maintain financial models to support investment strategies, asset allocation, and risk management. Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments to identify potential opportunities and risks. Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and other investment professionals to provide financial insights and support. Oversee the reconciliation of financial data and ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting. Assist in the budgeting and planning processes for investment operations. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within financial reporting and analysis. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies. Utilize advanced financial software and tools to extract, analyze, and visualize data. Respond to ad-hoc financial analysis requests from various departments. Manage relationships with external data providers and auditors as needed. Contribute to the strategic planning and objective setting for the investment operations function. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts within the team. Communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field; MBA or CFA charter holder strongly preferred. Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, investment analysis, or a related role within the banking or financial services industry. Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis tools. Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and portfolio management principles. Expertise in data analysis software and BI tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI). Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts effectively. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality. Experience with regulatory reporting and compliance is a plus. Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams across different time zones. Demonstrated leadership potential and experience mentoring others.
