Business Development Specialist, SMB
Steer is a company that offers a suite of software tools for automotive repair shops, aiming to streamline operations and enhance profitability. They are seeking a Business Development Specialist, SMB to drive outbound growth by identifying new business opportunities, conducting product demos, and managing customer relationships in a high-volume sales environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a high volume of calls and outreach to identify and engage decision-makers and economic buyers
- Develop a deep understanding of our SaaS product and its features to effectively communicate value during online product demos
- Employ a consultative approach to understand prospects' needs and tailor presentations to their specific pain points
- Maintain meticulous records of sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM to ensure accurate forecasting
- Qualify opportunities and collaborate closely with the broader sales team on strategy and deal progression
Skills
- 1+ years of sales experience, specifically in outbound prospecting or business development
- Proven Track Record: A history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and activity metrics
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with comfort in phone-based outreach
- Presentation Skills: Experience performing product demonstrations and consultations
- Presence: Ability to commute to the Waltham, MA office
- Industry Experience: Familiarity with the automotive industry, home services, or blue-collar sectors
- SaaS Background: Experience selling software or working in a high-growth startup environment
- Tech Stack: Experience using CRM tools (like HubSpot or Salesforce) to manage opportunities
