Legal Assistant- Foreclosure Compliance

Robertson, Anschutz, Schneid, Crane & Partners, PLLC is a busy New Jersey creditors’ rights law firm seeking a detail-oriented legal assistant to support their foreclosure compliance workflow. The role involves performing SCRA searches, conducting bankruptcy verifications, and maintaining organized documentation in a high-volume practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform SCRA (Servicemembers Civil Relief Act) searches and generate required certificates/confirmations for foreclosure matters
• Conduct bankruptcy verifications using PACER and related tools, document results, and escalate issues appropriately
• Track and update compliance results in case management systems and client platforms
• Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure files are clear for next-step action
• Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation and follow internal procedures and client guidelines

Skills

• Experience in a law firm, foreclosure, or creditors' rights is preferred, but not required
• Comfort with deadlines, high volume, and detailed documentation
• Strong written communication for legal documentation and professional client updates
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); case management/client portal experience is a plus
• Experience running and documenting SCRA searches and PACER bankruptcy checks
• Familiarity with New Jersey court processes
• A steady, calm approach and strong follow-through
