Health System Transformation Research Project Coordinator
Oregon Health & Science University is dedicated to improving the health of Oregonians through community engaged research, education, and policy. The Health System Transformation Research Project Coordinator will oversee health systems transformation projects, coordinating with the Program Director and Project Managers on various tasks including project design, implementation, and evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee small projects or sections of larger projects
- Monitor project activities, timelines, and deliverables and reporting milestones
- Organize team meetings: schedule, create agendas, take notes
- Train and mentor students and junior staff
- Build and foster relationships with funders, providers, payers, government partners, community-based organizations and other partners to plan/implement new projects, identify community priorities and promote ORPRN with community partners
- Research, develop and deliver content on health systems transformation and other related topics for funders and interested parties
- Draft sections of project documents, proposals, or other resources. This may include leading distinct portions of documents or other resources or short-duration or small-scale projects
- Develop and implement study, policy project, and QI protocols, and lead students and junior staff in implementing protocolsRecruit and enroll participants to technical assistant offerings and other projects
- Communicate project protocols, implications of participation and aims of the project
- Contribute to development and implementation of quality Improvement and/or systems change protocols, and lead students and junior staff in implementing protocols
- Create and model quality improvement and/or systems change methods and tools with cross-organizational teams, set goals, and work collaboratively with partners to reach goals
- Participate in analysis of qualitative and/or quantitative data; conduct interviews; prepare papers, posters and presentations to disseminate findings
- Train junior staff in quality improvement and/or systems change methods and effective strategies for working with and partners
- Lead portions of curriculum development for technical assistance offerings
- Complete surveys and trainings required by OHSU and ORPRN
- Participate in ORPRN workgroups and attend meetings and retreat
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Master's in relevant field AND 1 year of relevant experience; OR Equivalent combination of training and experience
- Experience should include combination of experience in public health core competencies relevant to the position-- Data analytics and/or assessment, policy development, program planning/implementation, health equity and community partnership development
- Expertise in implementation science, quality improvement or systems change
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to work independently in a multi-task, remote environment
- Ability to perform the job duties with or without accommodation
- Masters in Public Health or related
- Experience in project coordination
- Experience centering health equity in programs and community partnership development
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
