Actuarial Assistant
Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company (GTL) is currently seeking an Actuarial Assistant to join our team! In this position, you will gain experience with a variety of actuarial tools and contribute to projects including product development, pricing, and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Support new product development work including pricing analysis and projections, competitive analysis, and sensitivity testing
- Help with rate filings
- Conduct ongoing experience studies
- Develop new and improve existing experience studies & methodologies
- Work with internal stakeholders to react to changes in product experience
- Identify opportunities to improve processes
Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-5 years of relevant actuarial experience
- Proven exam success and working towards ASA designation
- Experience working with complex spreadsheets and large databases
- Proficient with Excel. Experience with SAS or SQL considered a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate with non-actuarial staff
- Initiative, desire to take on new challenges and responsibilities
- Intellectual curiosity, desire to learn and grow professionally
- High level of organization, able to balance multiple priorities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Programming experience
- Experience with actuarial modeling software
